RESET Retreat Spain
The RESET method
One professional process: from intake and a fully organised stay to secure guidance and follow-up.
Creating room for recovery at an early stage
RESET Retreat Spain is a professional five-day early-intervention and recovery programme for employees experiencing persistent stress, overload or reduced resilience, whose situation is assessed as suitable for a non-clinical programme.
The method connects professional intake, distance from the everyday environment, a carefully structured stay in Spain and follow-up after returning home. Calm, insight, movement and practical change form one coherent process.
One method, three levels of intensity
Not every employee is at the same stage of overload. The professional intake helps determine whether participation is responsible and whether Essential, Professional or Intensive offers the suitable level of guidance.
1. Professional intake before departure
Every participation begins well before departure with a personal intake by a psychological professional in the Netherlands. A secure intake form and, where appropriate, an individual video consultation are used to assess the participant’s situation, resilience, expectations, personal points of attention and suitability.
The psychological professional independently determines whether participation is suitable and responsible. RESET and the employer receive only the organisational outcome that is strictly necessary. Personal answers and the content of consultations remain confidential.
If the intake indicates that medical, psychological or more intensive individual treatment is required, participation is not advised and the participant may be referred to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
2. A fully organised five-day programme
RESET organises the complete process around the participant: preparation, group flights, transfers in Spain, a carefully selected high-quality location, meals, agreed facilities, programme components, local guidance and the return journey. Natural thermal springs or other recovery-supporting facilities can be deliberately integrated where appropriate.
Travel and accommodation are not separate holiday elements; they support the RESET method. Careful organisation of practical matters creates room for professional guidance, calm, reflection, movement and recognising and changing harmful patterns.
3. Psychological guidance in the Netherlands and Spain
Psychological professionals in the Netherlands conduct the intake, contribute to the development and professional safeguarding of the method and provide the agreed individual follow-up. During the stay, a qualified psychologist based in Spain is also involved in the professional programme components and group sessions on location.
Each professional works under their own professional responsibility. Duties, coordination, data processing and responsibilities are documented in advance in accordance with applicable Dutch, Spanish and European rules.
4. Personal, secure & confidential
Intake forms, personal consultations, video calls and follow-up take place directly between the participant and the psychological professional involved through suitable secure communication channels.
RESET, the employer, hotels, transport providers, travel coordinators and other team members have no access to the content of this communication or professional records. RESET receives only the information necessary to organise participation practically and responsibly.
5. Professional follow-up after returning home
After returning home, professional follow-up is provided for the agreed period through secure forms and, where appropriate, video consultations. The participant discusses progress, remaining points of attention and possible next steps directly with the psychological professional involved.
If further treatment or additional support appears advisable, the participant receives personal advice. This is not automatically shared with the employer or RESET.
What RESET is — and is not
RESET Retreat Spain is not a holiday and does not replace medical or psychological treatment. It is a professionally organised early-intervention and recovery programme that may help prevent symptoms from increasing and reduce the risk of prolonged absence.
